How to Place Shafts

When the Place Shaft command is active, the user has 2 options for placing the shafts, as a template or as an external cell attached to one of the referencelines.





When Template option is used, the following options are available for input:

  • Template Name - the shaft templates that will be placed on the selected referenceline.
  • Horizontal Offset - the horizontal offset from the alignment.
  • Elevation - the vertical offset from the alignment.
  • ReferenceLine Offset - the offset from the referenceline.
  • Material - the material that will be assigned to the created solid.
  • Feature Definition - the feature definition that will be assigned to the created solid.
  • Name prefix- the name prefix that will be assigned to the created solid.

When Cell option is used, the following options are available for input:

  • Cell Name - the cell name that will be placed on the selected referenceline.
  • Active Angle - the rotation angle about the global vertical Z axis.
  • Horizontal Offset - the horizontal offset from the alignment.
  • Elevation - the vertical offset from the alignment.
  • ReferenceLine Offset - the offset from the referenceline.
  • Material - the material that will be assigned to the placed solid.
  • Parametric With ReferenceLine - the option that is used to move shafts with or without reference lines.
  • Feature Definition - the feature defintion that will be assigned to the placed solid.
  • Name Prefix- the name prefix that will be assigned to the placed solid.
